Total hip replacement. He was clear and patient when explaining things to me about both the operation and recovery. His explanations made me feel safe and confident about what I was going into and what I was to expect coming out of it. The procedure went off without a hitch and has given me my life back and the freedom to do what I was previously unable to do. No suggestions.

Mr Shah gave me lots of information about my condition and the options open to me from the outset. He showed me the x rays and explained everything. When I arrived for my operation he advised me of everything he was going to do and what to expect afterwards. He was very kind, professional and helpful at all times. At the follow up appointments he was very thorough and explained all had gone well. He told me what my limitations would be for the following weeks and how to cope. The pain I was experiencing went straight away and i was walking unaided not too long after the operation. He is a very approachable person and a joy to meet. I cannot thank him enough for everything.

In May 2021 I had been on crutches for 18 months. I was in agony after my left hip joint fractured into peices. I was able to carry on working as a plumbing engineer although the tasks I could carry out unassisted were extremely limited. And then in May 2021 Mr Shah carried out a full hip replacment. It took around 6 weeks to recover from the operation before I could finally throw my ctutches away. Probably the best way to describe just how transformative this operation has been is to say that it's something I rarely think about. I'm completely pain free, I'm able to work normally and once again enjoy normal things like going for a woodland walk or a trek along a coastal path without even the slightest hint there was ever a problem with my hip. All this thanks to the excellent skills of Mr Shah and his team. I'll be forever grateful.

A very pleasant and professional doctor. He answered any questions I had but as I was going back to arrange the other hip replacement I didn’t have too many questions. Obviously I wouldn’t have gone back to him if I wasn’t happy with the first operation.
